Direct Entry First Officer (Fixed Term Contract)

Role Overview

Singapore Airlines is hiring Direct Entry First Officers for a fixed-term engagement. Selected candidates may be assigned to either the A350 or A380 fleet and will receive the required training for the role.

Requirements

• You must hold a current Class 1 Medical Certificate that is accepted by, or can be verified by, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
• You need a valid Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with an A350 or A380 type rating that is recognised by, or can be validated by, CAAS. Candidates with foreign licences may need to confirm their eligibility through the provided reference document.
• A background of 3,000 hours or more as a First Officer is preferred, although applicants with at least 1,500 hours may still be considered.
• Regardless of the above, a minimum of 1,500 hours must have been completed on the A350 and/or A380.
• You should have at least two years of First Officer flying experience on either the A350 or the A380 before the application date.
• Strong spoken and listening English is required, with ICAO English Level 5 or higher for inflight radio-telephony communication.
• You must meet a minimum height of 1.58 m to ensure safe reach and proper operation of all flight deck controls.

Selection Process

Applicants may go through multiple assessment stages, which can include interviews, simulator assessments, and medical examinations.

Tenure

Successful candidates will be appointed on a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months.
