Role Summary

This role is part of the Gurgaon Technology team where you will take charge as a DevOps Engineer focusing on deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure, especially with Linux VMs and MS SQL Server databases within Microsoft Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure under guidance from the cloud architect.
• Administer Linux virtual machines hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Manage Microsoft SQL Server in various hosting setups.
• Design, implement, and sustain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Develop, manage, and refine CI/CD pipelines for app and infrastructure deployments.
• Automate recurring operational tasks to enhance productivity and reduce manual work.
• Ensure service availability targets meet or exceed 99.9% uptime.
• Enhance system robustness through proactive monitoring, alerting, incident response, and recovery automation.
• Create and update runbooks and operations documentation to minimize Mean Time to Restore (MTTR).
• Engage in disaster recovery planning, backup verification, and recovery drills.
• Iteratively upgrade code quality, infrastructure standards, and deployment procedures.
• Identify and execute Azure cost-saving initiatives including rightsizing, automation, and cleanup.

Required Skills and Experience

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Proactive mindset with strong ability to independently handle responsibilities.
• Expertise in managing Linux-based virtual machines.
• Hands-on use of Azure portal, Azure CLI, and PowerShell scripting.
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance.
• Experience constructing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure deployments.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Team player who demonstrates initiative-taking.
• Methodical and logical approach toward troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to manage workload effectively under demanding conditions.
• Familiarity with Jira project management tools.
• Minimum education: B.Tech, B.E, or MCA degree.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
