The role
This is a permanent full-time Despatch Officer position based on-site, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Arrange and book transport for both regional and interstate deliveries.
- Prepare consignment documents and related paperwork.
- Create run sheets and monitor proof of delivery records.
- Coordinate labels and paperwork for outside storage providers.
- Support sales staff and other internal team members with their requests.
- Handle day-to-day administration, including data entry, phone handling, and email correspondence.
About you
The ideal candidate has worked in transport, warehouse administration, or a clerical support role and communicates clearly in both written and spoken form. You should be comfortable dealing with a range of people across different functions, such as customers, freight providers, shipping companies, and truck drivers. Strong time management, follow-up skills, computer literacy, and confidence using Microsoft Office are important. The role also suits someone adaptable, practical, and able to respond quickly to changing priorities.
