Role Overview
We are looking for a Designer in Store Design to become a valuable member of our Store Design & Visual Merchandising (SDVM) team based in Singapore. This role is central to the design team, focusing on the precise execution of CAD and Vectorworks drawings. The designer will deliver high-quality, accurate design documentation, assessing site and retailer requirements to generate effective design solutions promptly and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly support all projects ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Review and analyze site conditions and propose suitable solutions.
- Manage and update the materials library, maintaining clear specifications relevant to each market.
- Foster effective communication with various stakeholders including regional shop-fitters, project managers, procurement teams, and material suppliers, coordinating with the Brand Regional Director on material selections.
- Produce precise technical build drawings specifically for skincare projects.
- Adhere to project timelines ensuring efficient and timely delivery to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain high accuracy in design outputs to facilitate clear communication for managerial oversight.
- Occasionally lead adjustments to retailer requirements for store sites.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture or Interior Design from Singapore or the APAC region.
- Have between 3 to 5 years of experience working with leading shopfitter or construction firms, with a deep understanding of retail design processes.
- Proficient with Apple MAC systems and skilled in Adobe Suite, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, and SketchUp (3D design software).
- Strong time management skills with an agile approach to achieving results in demanding environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail, project management prowess, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure well-coordinated drawings for retailer, shopfitter, and brand communications.
- Personal enthusiasm for working with top-tier brands and contributing to marketing efforts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to rationalize and articulate design decisions.
