Design Architect

Job Overview

We are seeking a Design Architect based in Bangalore with 7 to 10 years of experience. Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree and have substantial expertise in handling large scale commercial architectural projects and corporate fit-outs. A solid academic foundation from premier architecture institutes will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design management activities for green building architecture, campus master planning, and corporate fit-out projects.
• Oversee the complete design lifecycle including Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, and Good For Construction (GFC) stages to ensure design objectives and quality standards are achieved.
• Review and refine drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and specifications related to architecture, civil works, and interiors.
• Manage material selection, finish schedules, and detailed architectural elements for both interiors and exteriors.
• Regularly update design standards and specifications in accordance with current trends and applicable codes such as NBC, ECBC, IGBC, USGBC/LEED, along with internal sustainability requirements.
• Coordinate efficiently with consultants, Project Management Consultants (PMC), contractors, and internal teams covering HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection Systems, Audio-Visual, and Lighting to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site inspections regularly to identify and resolve design discrepancies, ensuring compliance with approved plans.
• Take responsibility for other design activities related to campus infrastructure as required.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks early, and facilitate timely completion of critical deliverables.
• Innovate by incorporating new materials, technologies, workplace strategies, and sustainability-centered design solutions.
• Maintain thorough documentation, clear communication, and strong stakeholder collaboration throughout the project phases.
• Exhibit excellent project management, coordination, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in relevant large-scale commercial architecture and corporate fit-outs.
• Strong academic credentials from reputed architecture institutes preferred.
