Demand Planning Analyst

Role overview

Reef Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is hiring a full-time Demand Planning Analyst to strengthen forecasting and demand planning across its retail business. The position focuses on studying demand patterns, developing reliable forecasts, and supporting planning decisions with data so inventory is available, service levels improve, and forecast gaps are reduced.

Key responsibilities

• Build demand forecasts by using historical performance, statistical models, and analytical tools.
• Review demand trends and behavior across different time periods and sales channels.
• Assess how promotions, marketing activity, and seasonality influence demand, then reflect those insights in forecast updates.
• Work continuously to improve forecast accuracy and narrow the difference between projected and actual demand.
• Support Sales & Operations Planning meetings by preparing demand analysis and alternate planning scenarios.
• Create dashboards and analytical reports to monitor demand movement, forecast accuracy, and performance variances.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to understand market shifts and revise forecasting assumptions accordingly.
• Regularly evaluate forecasting assumptions and refresh them using actual results and new business insights.
• Track forecasting performance, study deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze demand across retail stores, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
• Assist with new product launches by preparing initial forecasts and monitoring demand after launch.
• Help improve forecasting methods and strengthen overall demand planning maturity.
• Coordinate with planning and supply chain teams so demand forecasts align with purchasing, distribution, and production plans.
• Measure how forecast accuracy affects inventory and service levels, and suggest improvements.
• Prepare regular management updates on demand planning performance and business impact.
• Use ERP and BI systems to maintain data quality and accurate reporting.
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency in demand planning and supply chain operations.
