About TetraScience
TetraScience is a scientific data and AI company creating Tetra OS, an operating system designed for scientific intelligence. The company helps major life sciences organizations convert scattered scientific data into AI-ready assets and scientific workflows that speed up discovery, development, and manufacturing. Its partner ecosystem includes NVIDIA, Databricks, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Snowflake, Google, and Microsoft.
As part of the hiring process, you will be expected to review “The Tetra Way,” written by CEO Patrick Grady. The company considers this document essential, so it should be read carefully when deciding whether the mission, culture, and expectations are the right fit.
Role Overview
The Delivery Manager is the core operational owner for the account team once a new customer is signed or an existing relationship expands. While the Scientific Solutions Partner shapes the vision and the Technical Delivery Director defines the technical approach, the Delivery Manager is responsible for making that vision happen on schedule, within scope, and ideally earlier than planned. Delivery and expansion ownership are shared with the SSP, with both roles expected to identify and advance growth opportunities inside their accounts.
The ideal background is someone with deep experience in consulting or biopharma-facing delivery, especially someone who has worked inside large life sciences organizations and understands the political, procurement, and governance hurdles that can slow implementation. Success here means delivering contract value quickly, enabling scientific outcomes rather than acting as a traditional service provider, and supporting renewals and expansion through early value realization.
This role oversees the full delivery lifecycle for a portfolio of enterprise biopharma and life sciences customers, including implementation and adoption of the Tetra Scientific Data Foundry and Tetra OS across the medallion data stack from bronze to silver to gold. The Delivery Manager acts as a trusted operational partner, connecting internal teams such as engineering, professional services, product, and science with customer stakeholders to drive measurable results.
This is not a simple coordination role. It requires scientific understanding, political awareness, and commercial judgment, along with the ability to identify and manage risk across delivery, stakeholder alignment, and business outcomes. The role also requires constant attention to future expansion opportunities.
TetraScience equips Delivery Managers with AI-enabled tools such as Claude Cowork and Codex to automate status updates, triage, and contracting workflows, allowing them to manage a larger portfolio without reducing delivery quality.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end program execution for a portfolio of enterprise clients, including instrument connectivity, Tetra OS pipeline setup across bronze/silver/gold layers, and adoption of scientific use cases.
- Work through the full complexity of enterprise pharma environments, including SSO setup, security reviews, validation requirements, procurement steps, and change control, so launches occur ahead of schedule rather than after it.
- Track timelines proactively, identify drift or scope expansion early, and remove obstacles directly or through the right stakeholder contacts.
- Lead project kickoff, milestone management, resource planning, scope control, and closure across several parallel workstreams.
- Handle change requests by assessing impact, securing approval, and communicating updates with minimal disruption to delivery plans.
- Maintain strong delivery governance, including clear ownership, decision-making rights, and escalation routes.
- Work with internal teams, external vendors, customer contacts, and management on both sides to deliver successful scientific outcomes.
- Act as the main operational contact for delivery stakeholders such as lab IT, informatics, program managers, and scientific leaders.
- Navigate internal customer dynamics effectively, building trust with scientific, IT, and procurement groups at the same time.
- Run customer progress meetings, steering committee sessions, and executive-level delivery reviews.
- Surface risks and expectation gaps early, then push issues to resolution before they escalate.
- Ensure a smooth transition from implementation into steady state, with clear handoff documentation and agreed success criteria.
- Coordinate cross-functional internal resources, including scientific data engineers, technical architects, and product teams, to meet commitments.
- Escalate technical matters to the Technical Delivery Director with the necessary context and business implications.
- Help improve delivery methods, templates, and tools on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a life science, chemistry, or engineering field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in top-tier management consulting, enterprise SaaS delivery, or life sciences IT program management, with direct exposure to large biopharma organizations.
- Proven success operating in complex enterprise settings and influencing stakeholders without direct authority, particularly across procurement, IT security, and change control.
- Solid scientific or lab-domain understanding, including how instrument data moves from raw capture through processed and analysis-ready stages.
- Strong political judgment in large pharma settings, with the ability to earn trust across scientific, IT, and procurement teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in both technical working sessions and executive steering meetings.
- Working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project, plus familiarity with agile and waterfall delivery styles.
- PMP, CSM, or a similar certification is preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites, with a baseline expectation of once per week, adjusted based on account needs.
- No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation plus equity in a fast-growing business.
- A supportive, collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Generous paid time off.
- Flexible work setup, with remote work when you are not at customer sites.
