Position Overview

The role of a Deli Bakery Associate involves delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, maintaining and organizing the Bakery and Deli sections, aiding in product stocking, and supporting sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and zone product shelves, tables, and storage areas to ensure proper arrangement and product placement.
• Perform stock rotation and inspect for expired items to guarantee quality and freshness.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly signed and accurately priced.
• Follow strict standards related to cold chain procedures, including thermometer calibration, temperature documentation, food handling, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Process orders for Deli merchandise, prepare hot food items, and provide necessary customer assistance.
• Prepare deli food using appropriate utensils, operate the rotisserie oven for chicken, and replenish prepared side dishes in displays.
• Prepare bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls by following precise thawing and baking protocols to maintain product quality and appeal.
• Handle ordering, clearance sales, price adjustments, labeling, and signage according to established procedures.

Compensation

The position offers a starting hourly wage of $18.05.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
