Job Overview

The position is for a Data Scientist working remotely as a contractor with YO IT Consulting. The role centers on supporting the training of next-generation AI models by providing high-quality, real-world data inputs. Prior direct AI experience is not mandatory; the focus is on deep domain knowledge and data expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and preprocess varied datasets to maintain data integrity and prepare for analysis.
• Create, test, and deploy statistical models that reveal actionable insights from complex data.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to detect trends, patterns, and opportunities to enhance business outcomes.
• Deliver findings and suggestions through effective data visualizations and comprehensive reports aimed at both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and execute full lifecycle data projects—from initial concept through to completion.
• Constantly refine analytical techniques and automation workflows to improve data processing efficiency.
• Communicate insights clearly in written and verbal form to ensure data-driven recommendations are well understood and impactful.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, and advanced data analysis methodologies.
• Documented experience in acquiring, managing, and cleaning extensive, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R to manipulate data and build models.
• Competence in developing and validating predictive data models.
• Advanced skills with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
• Meticulous attention to detail ensuring data quality at all stages.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, prioritizing clarity and accuracy.
