Role Description
The Data Scientist I will be instrumental in designing and delivering analytics, reporting, and AI-based tools that empower business stakeholders to better gauge performance, uncover opportunities, and make informed decisions. This collaborative environment provides an excellent platform to develop skills in data science, cloud technologies, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence.
Key Duties
- Build and oversee analytics, reporting, and AI solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms like Azure Databricks.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and curated datasets to enable reporting and advanced analytics.
- Examine structured and unstructured data to highlight trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Engage with business partners to translate their requirements into effective analytical solutions.
- Create and improve dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Communicate analytical outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality and governance standards are upheld in analytics deliverables.
- Participate in initiatives focused on process automation, continuous improvement, and creation of reusable analytical components.
- Keep up-to-date with innovations in analytics, AI, and data science fields.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in quantitative or technical disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
- Between 1 to 3 years’ experience in Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a comparable domain.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data handling with large datasets.
- Understanding of data science principles including statistical methods, data preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis.
- Experience designing dashboards and reports with Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and big data tools like Azure Databricks or Apache Spark is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with comfort in ambiguous scenarios.
- Quick adaptability to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and effective teamwork capabilities.
- Exposure to machine learning, AI, Generative AI, or advanced analytics through studies or projects is an advantage.
