Role Summary
The Data Entry Officer based in Delta State (Ughelli North and Oshimili South) plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy of merchant data, product catalogs, inventory, and pricing records within the Moniebook platform. Working in collaboration with Onboarding Specialists and Account Managers, the role ensures data is precise and prepared to enable prompt onboarding, accurate reporting, and a flawless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and manage merchant details including product ranges, SKUs, pricing, inventory levels, and customer data.
- Handle bulk data imports from spreadsheets and CSV files ensuring validation and correctness before uploading.
- Maintain adherence to data standards and naming conventions set by Moniebook.
- Prepare merchant accounts prior to onboarding by entering all required product, inventory, and configuration data within set deadlines.
- Inspect merchant data templates for errors or omissions and ensure resolution before input.
- Assist in setting up catalogue frameworks, tax configurations, and payment settings per team directives.
- Perform data validation to detect and correct duplicates, errors, or obsolete records.
- Cross-verify data across multiple systems including spreadsheets, CRM, and POS backend for consistency.
- Report data anomalies to responsible teams for rectification.
- Keep detailed records of data entry activities, import logs, and correction histories within the CRM system.
- Document typical errors and solutions to develop a knowledge repository aimed at minimizing repeated mistakes.
- Identify repetitive workflow hurdles and suggest process enhancements to the Operations lead.
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from internal teams within service level agreements.
- Collaborate closely with various departments to obtain missing data without affecting onboarding schedules.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in data entry or data operations, preferably within SaaS, retail technology, or fintech environments.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail managing high-volume datasets.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets including data cleaning, and use of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and basic formulas.
- Familiarity with CRM software or point-of-sale/back-office SaaS tools.
- Strong organizational abilities capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with bulk CSV data imports, data migration, or managing product catalogues in the SaaS industry.
- Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, or POS platforms.
- Background supporting onboarding, implementation, or customer success teams.
- Residency in Delta State (Ughelli North and Oshimili South) is required.
