Data Entry and Word Processing Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Data Entry and Word Processing Support Staff member to provide comprehensive administrative and operational assistance, particularly focused on personnel processing and data handling tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data entry, including verification tasks and preparation of reports.
• Track and monitor personnel records accurately, manage reappointments and appointment letters.
• Maintain detailed spreadsheets and tracking systems for data management.
• Assist with Time and Leave reports, create notification letters, and help review contracts and personnel transactions to ensure precise data entry into the CUNYfirst system.
• Provide support to Human Resources by liaising with academic departments and programs, organizing necessary documentation, monitoring critical deadlines, and conducting routine follow-ups for adjunct, College Assistant, and classified staff personnel activities.
• Facilitate a smooth transition to the CUNYWork platform for the Recruitment Unit by supporting the dual-system job posting processes and maintaining operational consistency between TAM and CUNYWork systems.
