Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer (f/m/x) to join our team remotely. Your role will be pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining robust data infrastructure and pipelines. Collaborating closely with data analysts and clients, you will support data-driven decisions and enhance our offerings. Our workflows are managed through Jira with sprint-based task planning, providing you the freedom to innovate and contribute your ideas.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain efficient data pipelines for seamless data integration and processing.
• Create dashboards and utilize data modeling to analyze and monitor data outputs.
• Construct and optimize data infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and high performance.
• Partner with clients to comprehend their data needs and provide technical assistance regarding data issues.
• Maintain data quality, consistency, and security across multiple data sources and platforms.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex data-related problems, applying technical expertise to devise solutions.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually enhance data workflows and technology.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining data pipelines for data ingestion, structuring, cleaning, and testing is desirable; knowledge of Airflow and DBT is a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills including understanding of data structures, algorithms, and data modeling.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Preferred prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Eagerness to learn quickly and adapt within a dynamic startup culture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
