Job Summary
Trace Systems Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Support Specialist based in Doha, Qatar, to join our team supporting the 160th Signal Brigade. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the availability, integrity, identification, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation of classified and unclassified information systems and network components within the assigned area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and compile vulnerability and configuration status reports for Automated Information Systems, providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
- Evaluate authorization requests to confirm compliance with DoDI 8510.01 and Risk Management Framework guidelines, advising on government approval processes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of requests and approvals, aligned with AR 25-400-2 and ARIMS standards, including monthly Information Assurance validations, artifact collection, and Risk Management Framework implementation plans.
- Review network connection requests under CENTCOM protocols and prepare DISA connection authorization packages for Defense Switched Network and voice systems with government approval.
- Keep updated records of network architecture including global MPLS and Joint Regional Security Stacks, conduct system data management in ISSP, APMS, eMASS, and ERS systems as needed.
- Develop network diagrams, optimize routing policies, enforce network policies, and oversee equipment selection and testing based on current technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance standards for networks and information systems configuration, including routing architecture, traffic engineering, inter/intra-POP topology, and peering policies.
- Conduct market research and provide technology recommendations in line with DISA, NSA, NIAP, DoD, USCENTCOM, and US Army directives.
- Administer personnel cybersecurity training tracking, certifications, and re-certifications for the 160th Signal Brigade and affiliated units via ACTCS, ensuring adherence to DoD, CENTCOM, and Army regulations.
- Produce a weekly situational awareness report on operational and functional areas, submitted every Friday COB (16:00 Kuwait time).
- Assisted government security assessments for CENTRIX installation sites to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities before SIPRNET deployment.
- Support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) implementation, dissemination, and tracking per DoDI 8520.02 guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Eligibility
- Applicants must be younger than 60 years old due to Qatar work visa restrictions; candidates 59 or under are eligible.
- Must hold an active US Government Secret clearance with appropriate scope.
- US citizenship is mandatory due to contract requirements.
- Possession of a current DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification (e.g., CAP, CASP, CISM, CISSP or Associate, GSLC) is required and must be maintained continuously.
- Solid network experience supporting MPLS, IP, and VPN infrastructures in carrier environments, along with proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Office suite.
- Knowledge of tactical and strategic communication networks and their regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with DoD and Army directives related to Information Assurance, including AR 25-2, AR 380.5, DoDI 8500.01, DoD Directives 8570.01, 8140.01, 8510.01, and associated Army IA best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting precise documentation and recommendations.
- Experience with tools for discovering and scanning network vulnerabilities.
- Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or GED.
