Customer Delivery Driver - Loughborough Extra

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you will serve as the company's representative on the road, delivering groceries and providing exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor. This position involves physical activity, variety in daily tasks, and independence, supported by a team of managers and colleagues at the home base.

Work Schedule

• Friday: 09:00 to 19:00
• Saturday: 09:00 to 19:00
• Sunday: 19:00 to 23:00

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure all orders are delivered in perfect condition.
• Safely load the van and perform all necessary checks to confirm it is roadworthy and ready for service.
• Communicate any order changes, substitutions, or short-dated products to customers clearly and courteously while processing refunds if necessary.
• Handle products with care to preserve quality and maintain customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within the agreed delivery window, providing warm and natural service that makes customers feel valued.

Requirements

• Build positive relationships with colleagues to foster teamwork and deliver excellent customer service.
• Exhibit a warm and welcoming attitude toward both customers and team members.
• Adapt quickly to changes in customer needs and embrace flexibility both on the road and at the store.
• Possess a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
