Customer Delivery Driver - Bradley Stoke

Role Overview

As a representative of Tesco on the road, the Customer Delivery Driver plays a crucial role by meeting customers at their homes daily. This position involves much more than just driving; it centers on assisting people and providing excellent service with a positive attitude. The work is hands-on, physically engaging, and varied with no two shifts alike. Drivers operate independently primarily but receive full support from their managerial and colleague teams based at the store.

Work Schedule

• Sunday: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Monday: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure every customer’s order arrives in excellent condition.
• Loading the delivery vehicle securely and performing necessary checks to confirm it is safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.
• Communicating warmly with customers about any order changes, product substitutions, or nearing expiration items, offering refunds when appropriate to preserve a seamless experience.
• Handling products carefully, treating every delivery as if it were personal to uphold quality and customer confidence.
• Delivering orders within the designated time slots, providing a friendly and genuine service at customers’ doorsteps to leave them feeling valued and appreciated.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to establish strong rapport with colleagues to foster excellent team spirit and enhance customer service.
• Approachable and friendly demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.
• Adaptability to respond swiftly to changing customer demands and flexibility to embrace change while on the road and at the store.
• Must hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (manual or automatic) for a minimum of 12 months with fewer than 4 penalty points.
