Job Summary
This role involves providing leadership to custodial personnel to ensure assigned areas are kept clean, orderly, and safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in training newly hired custodial staff to ensure they meet departmental standards.
- Assist the supervisor in organizing and assigning tasks to subordinate team members.
- Operate cleaning equipment and utilize supplies effectively to maintain cleanliness and manage waste and recyclables in designated facilities.
- Monitor and secure building entrances and exits, promptly reporting any issues to relevant authorities.
- Keep supply storage and cleaning equipment organized, maintain accurate inventory records, and request additional supplies as required.
- Record and communicate maintenance needs including repairs, violations, and pest control concerns.
Qualifications
- A minimum of four years relevant experience in custodial or facility maintenance roles is required.
- No formal educational qualifications are necessary.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is between $16.94 and $25.42 per hour.
