Creative Producer

About the Role

Campbelltown Arts Centre is inviting applications for a Creative Producer to join their curatorial and production team on a temporary full-time basis for 12 months starting August 2026. This role is pivotal in overseeing and delivering key performance projects that include creative development and presentation elements. The position also supports various initiatives aimed at nurturing artists across different career stages including emerging, mid-career, and established practitioners.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead and manage the delivery of contemporary performance projects involving various artistic disciplines such as theatre, music, dance, experiential arts, and screen-based practices.
• Coordinate and supervise project teams including artists, educators, and technical staff to ensure smooth execution of programs.
• Manage Conscious music development programs, including the Conscious Cohort, and support residency and artist development efforts.
• Partner with artists, production teams, marketing, and external collaborators to bring performance and music projects to fruition.
• Contribute to major projects, notably the production and presentation of "Atopia" by Marcus Whale.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications or extensive relevant experience in contemporary performance, theatre, music, dance, experiential art, or screen practice.
• Familiarity with performance arts at local, national, and international levels.
• Proven extensive experience in producing arts projects and managing personnel.
• Competence in budgeting for programs and monitoring financial aspects effectively.
• Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts and agreements related to artistic programming.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience in writing, editing, and commissioning texts.
• Compliance with Working with Children Check as the position is designated "child-related employment" under relevant legislation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Temporary full-time role with a 35-hour workweek lasting up to 12 months.
• Annual salary ranging from $103,151 to $111,651 plus 12% superannuation.
