Role Overview

We are searching for a driven Junior Trader to be based in our Singapore office. The role requires working night shifts to support continuous trading activities in international markets, ensuring smooth operation and supervision of high-frequency trading (HFT) systems. Candidates should possess 1 to 3 years of experience in HFT trading along with a strong enthusiasm for financial markets and technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise live trading systems during overnight shifts to maximize operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Implement and monitor HFT strategies, aligning execution with evolving market dynamics and company goals.
• Collaborate closely with trading, engineering, and operational teams to optimize system stability and performance.
• Evaluate market data and trade outcomes to uncover possibilities for strategy improvement.
• Maintain comprehensive logs of all trading activities and incidents, ensuring adherence to internal controls and relevant regulations.
• Promptly report critical issues to senior traders or technical support for swift resolution.

Candidate Requirements

• One to three years' experience within a high-frequency trading environment.
• Robust understanding of financial markets, trading frameworks, and HFT techniques.
• Comfortable using trading platforms; familiarity with Linux or Unix operating systems is advantageous.
• Able to perform effectively in a fast-moving, demanding setting, especially during night shifts.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration across departments.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Rust, or SQL is beneficial.
• Must be ready and willing to work during night hours supporting a 24/7 trading operation.
