Primary Duties

• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the UAE market.
• Create and execute a market-entry plan targeting outbound remittances from Dubai to priority corridors, in line with Coins.ph’s corridor business thesis.
• Secure early partnerships to foster adoption and reduce friction, utilizing stablecoin rails when appropriate, mirroring the company's corridor approach.
• Convert strategic plans into tangible results measured by transaction and volume growth in cross-border remittances and payment services within 12 to 18 months.
• Provide executive oversight of compliance activities, working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure alignment with Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) standards and scaling controls appropriately as transaction volumes grow.
• Maintain senior-level dialogue with VARA to support regulatory relations and uphold leadership credibility in regulatory interactions.
• Establish and maintain credibility and effective relationships with VARA early in the market entry phase, preferably having prior engagement experience with UAE regulators to mitigate risks.
• Act as a liaison between Dubai market realities and Coins.ph leadership to ensure alignment with international expansion goals.
• Exhibit a builder mentality by taking a hands-on approach, manage ambiguity effectively, and drive rapid momentum from inception.
• Balance commercial agility with compliance rigor, ensuring swift progress without compromising regulatory credibility and control integrity.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must reside in the United Arab Emirates.
• Senior leadership experience in fintech, payments, or remittances within the UAE, demonstrating capability to establish a market presence and convert partnerships into scalable transaction volume.
• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, with practical understanding of stablecoin rails facilitating remittance economics.
• Prior experience engaging with UAE regulators, especially VARA, possessing the stature to credibly represent the organization.
