Internship Overview
We invite you to join AECOM as a Cost Management Intern in Auckland, where you will gain hands-on experience in cost management within the built environment. Working alongside seasoned professionals, you will contribute to a variety of projects, engaging in both pre- and post-contract activities that support project budgeting and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing cost plans and financial models to support accurate project budgeting and forecasting.
- Participate in managing tender processes including documentation to facilitate procurement.
- Support the preparation of financial and due diligence reports to guide project decisions.
- Help oversee change control procedures, ensuring commercial accuracy throughout project execution.
Program Details
- This is a 12-week paid internship running from mid-November 2026 to mid-February 2027.
- Gain practical experience by contributing to meaningful projects impacting communities and infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand.
- Engage with senior leaders through exclusive presentations that provide career insights.
- Collaborate with graduates, experts, and industry leaders in a global consultancy environment.

Candidate Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Possess strong communication, collaboration skills, and a proactive, adaptable, and professional approach.
- Available to work full-time from 16 November 2026 to 19 February 2027.
- Have full working rights in Australia or New Zealand, including holders of student and graduate visas.
