About the Role
Southern Cross University invites applications for the position of Coordinator, Repository within its Library Services. This pivotal role supports the university’s academic community by overseeing the management, discoverability, accessibility, and preservation of research outputs and researcher profiles across the institution. Positioned within the Library Systems team, the coordinator will provide expert advice, facilitate open access initiatives, and work collaboratively with researchers to enhance the visibility and impact of Southern Cross University’s research.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the university's research repository to maximize accessibility, discoverability, and preservation of scholarly content and researcher profiles.
- Offer specialist guidance on repository services, scholarly communications, and compliance with open access policies.
- Identify and implement improvements in repository workflows, systems, and user experiences using initiative and sound judgment.
- Generate institutional reports and foster collaboration across Library Services and other university departments to support research excellence.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working with research repositories and a thorough understanding of scholarly content discovery within academic or similar library environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of building productive connections with academic staff and researchers.
- Strong organizational skills coupled with exceptional attention to detail to manage various competing tasks effectively.
- Proactive approach, sound judgment, and a commitment to continual enhancement of systems and procedures.
- Ability to work independently while cultivating collaborative relationships with colleagues and researchers.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, permanent position offering either a Northern Rivers (Lismore, NSW), Gold Coast (QLD), or Coffs Harbour (NSW) location, with relocation assistance provided to support integration into the university’s regional communities. The role falls under HEW Level 5, with a base salary ranging from $83,563 to $92,857 annually, plus a 17% employer superannuation contribution, yielding a total remuneration of up to $108,643.
