About the Role
We are seeking a Cook with experience to join the Community Kids Kadina Early Education Centre team. This position involves preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks for up to 80 children daily. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, and the role requires managing the kitchen operation during set shift days Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Plan menus according to nutritional guidelines suitable for young children.
- Manage budgeting, stock ordering, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and allergy-safe practices.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to Food Safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidate Requirements
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification with relevant cooking experience.
- Current Working with Children’s Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid certification.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate completed or willingness to obtain it.
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development aligned with the centre’s values.
