Role Overview
We are searching for a seasoned and commercially astute Contracts Manager to join our Transportation Business Line based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will support the execution of significant infrastructure and railway projects across the Kingdom and surrounding regions.
This position demands expertise in contract administration, commercial oversight, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration within major infrastructure, rail, transport, or engineering consulting settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contractual and commercial management for large infrastructure and transportation projects.
- Prepare, administer, and evaluate payment applications, invoices, and commercial documentation as per contract terms.
- Assist in commercial project reporting, including cost tracking, forecasting, and management reports.
- Draft, examine, and negotiate contractual communications such as notices, variations, and submissions.
- Administer consultancy, subcontract, and client agreements ensuring conformity with project needs.
- Manage contract variations, claims, extensions of time, and change control processes.
- Review contract commitments identifying associated commercial risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and legal/commercial stakeholders on contract matters.
- Support procurement and tendering tasks including reviewing requests for proposals, qualifications, and contract terms.
- Maintain accurate contract registers, commercial records, trackers, and project correspondence.
- Prepare and provide commercial and contractual reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Offer contractual and commercial assistance across other regional transportation and infrastructure projects when needed.
- Ensure strict adherence to company governance procedures and contractual policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
- Between 5 to 10 years of contracts and commercial management experience in infrastructure, transportation, rail, or engineering consultancy sectors.
- Solid grasp of consultancy agreements and major contract types, with a preference for experience working with FIDIC contracts.
- Proven ability in managing payment applications, variations, claims, extensions of time, and commercial negotiations on substantial projects.
- Strong skills in drafting and contractual correspondence.
- Commercially aware with excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including commercial trackers and data reporting.
- Competent in reporting and analysis with clear presentation of commercial information to management.
- Experience in the Middle East market is advantageous.
- Capable of independent work and managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
