The role involves problem-solving, project continuity management, and fostering strong partnerships with contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise contractor-led maintenance and replacement projects to guarantee timely, safe completion to Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) standards.
  • Inspect and validate finished work, ensuring precise documentation and claim accuracy.
  • Conduct site surveys, preparing clear plans, maps, and reports to support ongoing and forthcoming projects.
  • Handle daily site challenges such as customer enquiries, land access coordination, and management of material supplies.
  • Lead by example in fostering a safety-first culture via frequent site visits, safety discussions, and audits.

Required Expertise and Attributes

  • Proactive problem solver with ownership mentality and willingness to improve safety and operational performance.
  • Effective communication skills enabling collaboration with diverse groups from on-site teams to senior management.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, adept at handling several priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, skilled at maintaining project data, reporting, and managing defects.
