Content Analyst

Role Overview

We seek a graduate with a strong aptitude for innovative internet research to detect online violations related to intellectual property, particularly in the sports domain. This role requires conducting thorough internet investigations to identify video piracy, unlawful content distribution, and unauthorized use of trademarks as part of active monitoring of live and archived web content.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor diverse digital platforms including social media, websites, streaming and messaging services, and forums to detect unauthorized streaming or sharing of video content linked to sports events.
• Spot counterfeit merchandise links and misuse of trademarks, logos, and team or league branding present on websites, e-commerce marketplaces, and social media channels.
• Utilize advanced search methods to pinpoint infringements involving copyrighted media and trademark violations.
• Prepare legal notices such as takedown requests and copyright or trademark removal communications, adhering strictly to DMCA regulations and trademark laws, directed at platforms, service providers, and web operators involved in piracy or infringement.
• Collaborate closely with compliance and legal teams to facilitate enforcement efforts to safeguard intellectual property rights.
• Organize and present regular reports analyzing piracy patterns and infringement occurrences for client review.
• Extract and interpret domain registration details including WHOIS data, registrant contacts, and hosting information.
• Keep abreast of evolving trends in piracy, brand impersonation methods, and technical developments that impact protection and enforcement strategies online.

Additional Information

• The position involves working in monthly rotating shifts, including nights.
• Work schedule includes weekends with flexible weekly offs.
• The role demands adaptability to shifting priorities and managing multiple urgent tasks concurrently.
