Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Compliance Manager dedicated to the engineering sector within quick commerce operations. This position involves safeguarding full regulatory and technical compliance for Amazon Now’s engineering initiatives, focusing on infrastructure expansion across the UAE. You will take charge of all compliance aspects from project conception through operation to uphold industry standards and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering compliance during all phases, including project launch and ongoing operation.
- Create and enforce compliance frameworks that adhere strictly to local and regional regulatory mandates.
- Evaluate engineering plans and technical solutions for alignment with compliance requirements and standards.
- Drive continuous enhancements in compliance protocols and operational controls within engineering functions.
- Offer specialized advice regarding technical compliance to stakeholders both inside and outside the company.
- Build and sustain partnerships with regulatory bodies to address compliance issues effectively.
- Coordinate and manage compliance-related audits and evaluations working alongside internal business units.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience in compliance program management, legal affairs, governance, auditing, risk management, or related fields.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- At least five years of program or project management experience ensuring delivery excellence.
- Preferred qualifications include over three years of experience defining program requirements and using data metrics to enhance processes.
- Professional certifications in auditing, risk, or compliance are a plus.
