Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced senior operator and systems thinker to join our Central Strategy and Operations team. This senior individual contributor position focuses on designing and maintaining the essential operational frameworks that allow our leadership to make effective decisions quickly, ensuring Stripe scales efficiently and transparently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Stripe's annual planning processes, including multiple workstreams and decision-making frameworks used by leadership.
• Develop, automate, and scale the core operational infrastructure, replacing manual and fragmented workflows with effective systems, utilizing data pipelines and AI-augmented tools.
• Translate strategic initiatives into operational activities, facilitate leadership forums, and provide insightful contributions and follow-through.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance operational procedures, identifying bottlenecks and improving accountability and decision-making speed across teams.

Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience, primarily in operational roles such as strategy, product/business operations, or corporate planning within high-growth technology companies.
• Proven record of creating and owning operational systems that significantly improve company or team efficiency.
• Extensive knowledge of company and functional planning, including goal-setting methodologies (OKRs/SOKRs), resource allocation, and operational rhythm design.
• Strong systems thinking with a focus on automation, leveraging technology and data to reduce manual tasks.
• High-level analytical skills with autonomy in data analysis and assumption validation without dependence on analytics teams.
• Experienced interacting with executive and C-suite leaders, capable of commanding meetings and providing independent perspectives.
• Comfortable managing ambiguity and independently driving projects from undefined problems to completion.
• Technical proficiency with AI tools to automate operational workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to implement automation-focused and scalable operational workflows.
• Prior experience at a technology company is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, management consulting, or investment banking.
• Familiarity with product and infrastructure platforms similar to Stripe.
• Knowledge of contemporary planning tools, workflow automation, and operational data infrastructure.

Work Arrangement

This role offers flexibility to work either remotely or from an office location. Remote status applies if working 35 miles or more from a Stripe office, with occasional office visits for meetings and events expected. Office workers should spend at least half their working time in the office or with users.

Salary & Benefits

The position offers an annual base salary range of 174100 to 261100 USD. Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and location, and includes potential equity, bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
