Company Overview

CampusUnite is a student-led, independent platform that brings learners from different colleges together for collaboration, innovation, and access to shared opportunities. Started by Mayank Prabhakar, it enables students to find AI and tech events, hackathons, workshops, quizzes, leadership programs, and peers from other campuses. The platform is built to help students learn, progress, and discover meaningful opportunities through one centralized space.

As the community grows, CampusUnite plans to launch campus ambassador initiatives, partnerships across colleges, internships, brand-led campaigns, and student-centered programs that create value for both students and organizations. It is designed for anyone who wants to broaden their network, join events, find teammates for hackathons, and explore new opportunities beyond a single campus.

Role Overview

The Community Member position is a full-time remote role centered on active participation in CampusUnite’s student community across multiple colleges. The person in this role will contribute to online conversations, circulate relevant opportunities, and help others discover events such as hackathons, workshops, and leadership programs. They will also help drive community initiatives by promoting activities within their own networks, gathering participant feedback, and bringing forward ideas that improve engagement and collaboration on the platform.

On a day-to-day basis, the role includes joining virtual meetups, contributing in community channels, helping connect students with teams or opportunities, and supporting the introduction of new initiatives such as campus ambassador programs and cross-college projects. The Community Member will work with the CampusUnite team to keep the environment friendly and inclusive, while making sure communication across the community stays organized and clear.

Responsibilities

• Take part in online discussions and keep the student community active across different colleges.
• Share relevant events, opportunities, and updates with peers.
• Help students discover hackathons, workshops, leadership programs, and similar activities.
• Support community initiatives by promoting them within personal and campus networks.
• Collect feedback from participants and suggest improvements to strengthen engagement.
• Join virtual meetups and contribute regularly in community channels.
• Assist in matching students with teams, collaborations, and other opportunities.
• Support the launch of new programs such as campus ambassador initiatives and cross-college projects.
• Work with the team to maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and well-organized community experience.

Requirements

• Good communication and collaboration abilities, with confidence in respectful online interaction.
• Interest in student-led activities such as hackathons, workshops, tech events, leadership programs, and cross-college collaboration.
• Comfort using digital tools for remote community building, including messaging apps, social platforms, online event tools, and collaboration software.
• Ability to stay organized, manage time well, and remain consistently involved in a full-time remote role.
• Inclusive mindset, openness to feedback, and willingness to share ideas that improve the student experience.
• Currently enrolled student or recent graduate; prior experience in student clubs or communities is beneficial.
