Role Overview
This internship role involves collaboration with the research and development team focusing on printer product enhancement. Responsibilities include mechanical design, simulation, and prototype development processes, aiming at optimizing machine performance and defect filtering.
Primary Duties
- Collaborate on printer product development within the R&D team.
- Create and maintain design guidelines covering multiple product design aspects.
- Design mechanical components for printers using CAD software.
- Employ simulation and AI tools to assess design durability.
- Manage the design process from conceptual intent through to the creation of physical prototypes.
- Define machine settings and testing standards aimed at increasing yield and reducing cycle times.
- Build statistical loss functions to validate and filter defects through testing protocols.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Available to engage in a full-time internship lasting 5-6 months starting January 2027.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Basic understanding of mechanical product design principles.
- Experience or skills in CAD mechanical drawing are advantageous.
- Enthusiastic about practical, hands-on engineering projects.
