Job description
About the Role
Everpure is revolutionizing data storage technology and growing its Cloud Native / Portworx service practices across the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. This position, based in Singapore, calls for a technically proficient Project Manager to oversee the comprehensive delivery of Cloud Native and Portworx projects. You will guide projects from initiation through design, execution, and successful completion while collaborating closely with architects, DevOps professionals, systems engineers, and certified delivery partners throughout the region.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the entire project lifecycle of Cloud Native and Portworx initiatives across APJ, inclusive of Portworx Enterprise, PX-Backup, disaster recovery, health assessments, and KubeVirt virtualization deployment.
- Lead all phases such as project kickoffs, discovery, design planning, deployment, and closure in conjunction with technical architects and engineering teams.
- Implement agile methodologies—including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and iterative releases—to effectively steer platform and containerized projects, adapting approaches based on each client's needs.
- Facilitate collaborative design-thinking sessions involving Everpure engineers, delivery partners, and customer teams to enhance solution innovation and minimize risks.
- Create and update project documentation like plans, risk/issue logs, meeting cadences, and communicate effectively with enterprise-level stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal staff, Certified Delivery Partners such as Resolv and Vastcom, and third-party integrators and platform teams.
- Oversee project risk, scope, and change management, with appropriate escalation through defined governance structures.
- Monitor and report project metrics—such as health status and utilization—using internal tools like KeyedIn and ServiceNow to keep leadership informed.
- Collaborate with APJ Cloud & Platform Engineering to establish delivery standards, playbooks, and templates as the practice scales.
- Support partner enablement by advising Certified Delivery Partners on delivery processes, governance expectations, and certification preparation.
- Act as a trusted technical liaison for customers during delivery, translating technical details into meaningful business insights.
Experience and Skills Required
- A minimum of 15 years in project or program management roles with a proven record of delivering complex, technical enterprise projects.
- At least a decade of managing cloud-based and agile SDLC projects with practical experience leading iterative development cycles.
- Strong expertise in cloud and cloud-native technologies including containerization, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Portworx or equivalent cloud-native storage and orchestration platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of design-thinking and pair/collaborative development methods, with the ability to engage teams and clients in these processes.
- Experience managing projects with multiple vendors and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Disciplined approach to governance, encompassing project planning, risk and issue management, escalation, and executive reporting.
- Preferred cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Azure Administrator/Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, or Red Hat/OpenShift certifications.
- Preferred agile certifications like PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, or SAFe Agilist.
- Additional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills for managing stakeholders across culturally diverse APJ markets.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the APJ region to support client engagements.
- Work primarily based in the Singapore office in accordance with company policies, with approved exceptions for leave and travel.
