Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team providing exceptional mental health care in a primary healthcare environment without Medicare billing. This role offers the opportunity to work within the Defence community, focusing on delivering comprehensive mental health services to Australian Defence Force members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-standard mental health services tailored to Defence personnel.
- Conduct fitness-for-duty evaluations and manage care before and after deployment.
- Perform risk assessments and crisis interventions, design treatment plans, and facilitate individual and group educational sessions.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team prioritizing patient wellness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of unrestricted AHPRA General registration as a Psychologist, including PsvBA clinical endorsement.
- At least two years of postgraduate experience in mental health within the last five years, preferably in primary healthcare or specialist mental health environments.
- Proficient in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and applying Focussed Psychological Strategies and Psychological Therapy compatible with Medicare schedules.
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
- Australian citizenship with eligibility for Baseline Security Clearance.
- A strong commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining ethical, patient-centred care standards.
