About the company
Places for People Group is a social enterprise focused on helping communities thrive by building homes and delivering services that support healthier, more active lives. Through Places Leisure, the organisation aims to create active spaces and better wellbeing for local communities, with a goal of becoming the UK’s leading enabler of health and wellbeing.
The business emphasises that people are valued as more than just a number, and it aims to support its teams in the same way it supports the communities it serves.
Role overview
In this independent cleaning role, you will be responsible for maintaining designated areas to a high standard and delivering an effective cleaning service across your assigned zone. You will need to follow all health and safety requirements, as well as the organisation’s policies and procedures, while handling cleaning chemicals and substances accurately, safely, and in the correct dilution ratios.
At the end of each shift, you will ensure all cleaning equipment is properly cleaned, secured, and stored for the next team member. You will also be expected to identify and report any issues or incidents, communicate them to the relevant colleagues, and take appropriate action where needed.
What we are looking for
To be suitable for this position, you should bring solid cleaning experience and a practical understanding of COSHH rules for the safe use of chemicals in public settings. Because you will work on your own, strong organisation and time-prioritisation skills are essential. As a representative of Places Leisure, you must also be consistently professional and approachable.
