Role Summary
The Chief Operating Officer is a full-time remote leadership role focused on managing day-to-day operations and supporting the company’s growth agenda. The person in this position will build, improve, and oversee operational workflows across client service, compliance support, finance, technology, and human resources so the business can run efficiently, consistently, and at scale.
Working closely with senior leaders, the COO will turn strategic priorities into practical operating plans, track key performance measures, and lead ongoing improvement efforts. The role also includes managing budgets and resources, reinforcing internal controls, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, developing policies, coaching managers, and ensuring systems and processes stay aligned with the firm’s core principles.
Responsibilities
- Lead the firm’s daily operations and ensure core business functions run smoothly across multiple teams.
- Design, implement, and refine operating processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
- Work with senior leadership to convert strategic goals into actionable plans and measurable execution roadmaps.
- Oversee operational support areas such as client service, compliance, finance, technology, and human resources.
- Track performance indicators, analyze operational data, and use findings to guide improvements and decisions.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and allocation of resources.
- Strengthen internal controls and support risk-aware, compliant operations in a regulated environment.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects that improve both the client experience and the employee experience.
- Create and update operational policies and procedures as the organization grows.
- Coach and support managers while fostering accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Align tools, workflows, and systems with the firm’s strategy and long-term vision.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead business planning and develop operational strategies tied to company objectives.
- Solid experience managing operations across multiple functions, teams, processes, and systems.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret data, build metrics, and turn insights into action.
- Hands-on finance and budgeting experience, including planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and cost management.
- Comfort working remotely with strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in wealth management, investment advisory, or a similar financial services setting is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related subject is required; an MBA or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- History of creating scalable processes, deploying technology-based solutions, and driving a culture of accountability and improvement.
