Chief Operating Officer

Role overview

JohnKim Financial is hiring a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to oversee day-to-day execution, strengthen internal management, and help drive sustainable growth. The role partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership to ensure each function operates smoothly and the business can scale efficiently.

What you'll do

• Direct daily business operations and ensure strong execution across the company.
• Guide major functions such as operations, finance, compliance, technology, human resources, and business support.
• Refine workflows, standard operating procedures, systems, and overall operating efficiency.
• Establish solid governance practices together with risk management and compliance controls.
• Contribute to strategic planning, expansion efforts, and broader market growth initiatives.
• Lead senior leaders and encourage effective collaboration between departments.
• Track budgets, KPIs, performance goals, and business outcomes.
• Provide regular updates on operational progress and key business matters to the CEO and Board of Directors.

What we're looking for

• At least 20 years of experience in management or executive leadership.
• Preferred industry background in financial services, fintech, banking, investment, digital assets, technology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated success in leading senior teams and handling complex organizational operations.
• Strong capabilities in leadership, execution, communication, and decision-making.
• Practical experience in operations management, risk oversight, compliance, and business expansion.
• Ability to improve company structure, internal processes, and operating performance.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-growth, international business environment.

Preferred background

• Prior leadership as a COO, President of Operations, Managing Director, VP of Operations, or in a comparable executive position.
• Experience creating operational frameworks, scaling teams, or entering new markets.
• Solid understanding of financial operations, compliance practices, and corporate governance.
• International business management experience is a plus.
