The CHRO will have professional oversight over all centers managed by CCR, steering HR strategy, coaching center-level HR managers, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on critical personnel matters in long-term care. The role prioritizes innovative development rather than maintaining the status quo.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop HR strategies and implement workforce initiatives to enhance employee retention, engagement, and performance in close collaboration with Operations.
  • Supervise and mentor Regional HR Business Partners and the HR Operations Coordinator; provide coaching to center HR Managers to elevate their performance.
  • Manage home office HR duties including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and leave management such as FMLA compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all twelve centers through personnel file management, licensure tracking, benefit testing, and leave oversight.
  • Lead resolutions of sensitive employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Create career pathing and leadership development programs aligned with CCR’s care-centered culture.
  • Annually review HR policies and benefits packages; stay abreast of current employment legislation.
  • Administer relationships with HR vendors and audit center HR functions for uniformity and quality.

Desired Candidate Attributes

  • Proven history of advancing through HR leadership roles with a focus on transformative change.
  • A readiness to champion organizational change when necessary.
  • Courage to advocate for both staff welfare and organizational interests, even if unpopular.
  • Analytical thinker who leverages data for decision-making, promotes innovation, and supports leadership while representing frontline caregivers.
  • Motivated by in-office collaboration and proactive team participation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years in senior HR management, preferably within healthcare or long-term care sectors.
  • Certification as SHRM-CP or PHR mandatory; SHRM-SCP or SPHR highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws with practical application skills.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS systems; familiarity with Paycom is advantageous.

Physical and Additional Requirements

  • Prolonged sitting and computer use; capability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment health screening, criminal background check, and reference verification is mandatory.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 annually, dependent on experience.
