Chemical Engineer

Overview

We seek an innovative and collaborative chemical engineer possessing extensive technical expertise and industry insights with a knack for enhancing processes. The role involves both office and field work to execute, analyze, and optimize processes, equipment, and plants while coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project objectives through design, troubleshooting, and review.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to resolve challenges and enhance operational processes.
• Develop, propose, implement, evaluate, and rectify plans to accomplish company objectives efficiently.
• Monitor production processes, conduct research, and identify strategies to elevate efficiency and product quality.
• Utilize computer tools for data compilation and analysis.
• Implement safety protocols and waste management systems.
• Visit work sites to understand project demands and contribute to design, implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and process/equipment improvements.
• Assist in budget preparation and timeline management for projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
• Relevant experience or further education is highly preferred.
• Industry-specific knowledge is often necessary.
• Additional certifications or licenses may be required or favored in certain roles.
• Strong foundation in chemistry, mathematics, biology, and engineering concepts.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills, especially with non-technical personnel.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills along with clear verbal, written, presentation, and project management abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
