About the Role

This position is with a Kolkata-based legal and consulting organization, focused on finding a Chartered Accountant to manage critical financial processes within the construction sector. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing comprehensive financial activities, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing actionable insights to leadership for enhanced decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and finalize all financial reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to statutory deadlines.
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret balance sheets and financial statements for review by management and stakeholders.
• Supervise accounts finalization, budgeting, and implementation of best practices in financial management.
• Handle GST, taxation matters, and auditing activities in accordance with current regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure the organization’s compliance with financial and legal norms specific to the construction industry.
• Support and guide decision-making by preparing effective financial reports and offering actionable insights.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
• 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within the construction sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting, compliance standards, and tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, financial analysis, GST, and auditing independently.

Compensation

Remuneration ranges between INR 10,00,000 and INR 12,00,000 per year.
