About the Role
Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers an excellent chance to enhance your skills within the retail sector. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service during checkout, fostering customer loyalty. You will also act as a vigilant protector against loss, carefully safeguarding company assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and greet every customer.
- Efficiently handle all purchase transactions, ensuring merchandise is properly deactivated according to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) procedures.
- Promote Walmart's sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives.
- Help customers with packing and loading their items.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including correct lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Ensure the security of the register and accuracy in cash handling by following company policies and remaining vigilant.
- Refer complex service or transaction issues to a Customer Service Manager when necessary.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.65.
