ജോലി വിവരണം
Overview
The Building Control team at Bexley carries out the council’s statutory building control duties and manages most building regulations applications across the borough. The service has evolved significantly in response to the Grenfell Inquiry and the introduction of the Building Safety Act. Bexley has responded with a strong improvement programme, successful registration of its building inspectors, and continued investment in people and processes to strengthen professional standards and customer service.
The team is recruiting two registered building inspectors to carry out restricted functions and restricted activities in line with their competence level, along with other building control duties as needed. Where tasks fall outside current competence, the council will provide suitable supervision to support ongoing professional development. The postholder will also build effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners while delivering a high level of customer service.
Location: Bexley Civic Offices.
The market premium will be determined during the recruitment process.
For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Tom Towler, Building Control Manager, at [email protected].
