Canteen Supervisor

Role overview

Farmfoods is hiring a full-time Canteen Supervisor to prepare hot and cold meals at its new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire.

Work location

• Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way N, Daventry, NN11 8QL
• Induction begins in August

Hours and pay

This role is for 37.5 hours per week across 5 days, with a shift pattern that is mainly mornings and afternoons. The hourly rate is £14.63, and the pay can be discussed further with the hiring manager.

Key duties

• Carry out food preparation work
• Cook meals and serve food at the counter
• Receive deliveries and move them into kitchen storage
• Restock fridges as needed
• Clean kitchen tools, equipment, appliances, and work surfaces

What the employer is looking for

This is a busy canteen environment, so the ability to stay effective under pressure is essential. Strong communication skills, along with basic numeracy and literacy, are also required. A basic food hygiene certificate would be an advantage, and an understanding of workplace health and safety is important.
