About the Role
Talbot Hotel Stillorgan is seeking a dedicated Canteen Assistant to support daily canteen operations, reporting to the Head Chef. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome employees as they enter the canteen area.
- Set up breakfast, lunch, and dinner services efficiently.
- Promptly clear tables and clean the dining space to maintain order and tidiness.
- Restock food items, beverages, and utensils as necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation meet established health regulations.
- Adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and team members to facilitate smooth canteen operations.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively multitask and work efficiently under fast-paced conditions.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
- Dependability, punctuality, and capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is desirable.
