About the Role

Talbot Hotel Stillorgan is seeking a dedicated Canteen Assistant to support daily canteen operations, reporting to the Head Chef. Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome employees as they enter the canteen area.
• Set up breakfast, lunch, and dinner services efficiently.
• Promptly clear tables and clean the dining space to maintain order and tidiness.
• Restock food items, beverages, and utensils as necessary.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation meet established health regulations.
• Adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
• Collaborate closely with kitchen and team members to facilitate smooth canteen operations.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively multitask and work efficiently under fast-paced conditions.
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Dependability, punctuality, and capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is desirable.
