- Lead senior-level value discussions and support contract negotiation with strong financial justification.
- Create and scale robust value frameworks tailored to different industries and user personas aligned with Decagon’s use cases.
- Standardize benchmarking data, ROI templates, and value driver metrics across diverse market segments.
- Develop reusable assets like value calculators and business case templates to empower the sales team and collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine value communications.
- Embed value engineering approaches into all stages of the sales cycle and train relevant teams in value-based selling techniques.
- Ensure consistent, rigorous presentation and validation of product value in the marketplace.
- Work cross-functionally with product management, customer success, finance, and revenue operations to capture and analyze realized customer value and integrate insights into future deals and pricing strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of six years experience in areas such as value engineering, management consulting, sales engineering, strategic finance, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with sales on complex enterprise transactions and shaping favorable business outcomes.
- Expertise in financial modeling using Excel or Google Sheets to create clear and credible ROI assessments.
- Ability to effectively link technical features to business outcomes that resonate with executive stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence with confidence leading conversations with high-level decision-makers including CFOs and COOs.
- Knowledge of enterprise purchasing processes and value-based selling tactics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS, AI/ML, customer operations, or contact center technologies.
- Background in consulting disciplines such as strategy or digital transformation, or strategic finance.
- Proven track record of building or growing a value engineering function within a rapidly expanding organization.
- Familiarity with go-to-market tools and data-driven sales platforms like Salesforce and Gong.
- Exposure to regulatory environments such as financial services or healthcare industries.
Benefits
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for employees and their families.
- Life insurance and disability protection.
- Retirement savings plans, including options like 401(k).
- Parental leave policies and fertility/family building support services through partners like Carrot.
- Monthly allowances to promote wellness and work-life balance.
- Daily provision of lunches and snacks at the office.
- Flexible vacation policy allowing employees to take necessary time off, with statutory leave adherence for UK staff.
Compensation
