About the Role
Zendesk is revolutionizing customer service delivery through its cutting-edge customer experience and service platform. Along with its established CX suite, it has rapidly grown a $200 million annual recurring revenue AI business within three years, serving over 20,000 clients. AI now automates up to 80% of service interactions, signaling massive growth and innovation ahead.
This position offers a unique opportunity to launch a software sales career focused on AI and technology's forefront.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage with executive-level prospects to diagnose their customer experience, AI, and service needs and challenges.
- Generate significant sales pipeline through proactive, targeted outbound prospecting efforts.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Product, and Marketing teams to execute coordinated strategies targeting priority accounts.
- Qualify leads with a consultative approach focused on building value in potential solutions.
- Manage and maintain your sales pipeline with clarity, discipline, and an emphasis on delivering superior customer experiences.
- Participate as part of a Melbourne-based onsite team three days a week, fostering collective learning, iteration, and growth.
Candidate Requirements
- At least two years’ experience in sales or business development within SMB, Commercial, or Enterprise sectors.
- A highly competitive and resilient self-starter mentality.
- Interest and curiosity about AI technologies, SaaS platforms, and modern go-to-market strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence and clarity.
- Aspirations to develop a long-term career within software sales.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
Work Arrangement
This role requires hybrid working: attending the Melbourne office three days per week to support team collaboration, learning, and culture, with flexibility to work remotely on remaining days. The exact onsite schedule will be determined by the hiring manager.
