Job Overview
The Business Development Manager will focus on engaging both local and international corporate clients with potential for individual and group travel bookings. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Director of Business Development, the role involves executing sales strategies and marketing plans to maximize business opportunities within the designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and capitalize on upselling prospects wherever feasible.
- Formulate and implement business development strategies to foster sustained, profitable growth in room sales and all revenue-generating outlets.
- Maintain the hotel's prominence in key market areas through direct sales efforts, including telephone, fax, and written communication.
- Ensure adherence to the sales policies and procedures established by the hotel and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
- Establish collaborative relationships across hotel departments to understand sales initiatives and customer expectations.
- Maintain active communication and teamwork with other marketing units such as Events Management, Communications, and Reservations to align on sales objectives.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and compliance with hotel guidelines and standards.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum three years of experience in Hotel Sales & Marketing.
- Fluent proficiency in English and Arabic, both spoken and written.
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Professional appearance that is neat, articulate, and pleasant.
