Business Continuity Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Continuity Manager to lead and manage the enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) for a multinational pharmaceutical and FMCG holding group operating across Europe. This is a high-profile role reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer while acting as Secretary to the Group Compliance Committee. The position is fully remote from Greece with occasional travel to Cyprus and Poland.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a group-wide BCMS in alignment with ISO 22301 standards.
• Perform Business Impact Analyses (BIA) on critical functions including manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, regulatory, and corporate operations.
• Establish Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), Recovery Point Objectives (RPO), and Maximum Tolerable Periods of Disruption (MTPD).
• Create crisis management playbooks, define escalation procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Plan, organise, and assess BC testing initiatives such as tabletop exercises, drills, and simulations.
• Serve as Secretary to the Group Compliance Committee by maintaining risk registers, preparing KPI dashboards, and providing progress reports to senior management.
• Monitor emerging threats including cyber, geopolitical, regulatory, and environmental risks and translate these into business continuity priorities.
• Promote a culture of resilience across multiple entities through training and engagement with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven hands-on experience in building, owning, and testing BCM frameworks rather than advisory roles.
• Expertise conducting BIAs, defining RTOs/RPOs, and orchestrating crisis simulations.
• ISO 22301 certification or attained comparable experience with the standard.
• Experience reporting BCM status directly to senior leadership or Board governance bodies.
• Capability to coordinate across multiple regional business units without direct authority.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with persuasion influence.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, financial services, or healthcare is preferable.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Greek is beneficial.
