Business Applications Developer (Microsoft Power Platform & Business Intelligence)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Applications Developer to join a remote, full-time position working aligned with U.S. EST business hours. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining business applications, automation workflows, and business intelligence solutions within the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem. The developer will transform manual processes into scalable digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency and provide actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Create interactive Power BI dashboards and reports with optimized performance and accuracy.
• Develop scalable data models using DAX and Power Query for meaningful business insights.
• Build automated workflows via Power Automate and applications with Power Apps, including approval workflows and custom connectors.
• Integrate systems using Azure Functions, REST APIs, webhooks, and custom services to connect Microsoft 365 with external platforms.
• Develop Microsoft Teams applications, bots, and adaptive cards, utilizing Microsoft Copilot Studio for AI-driven workflows.
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance by following Microsoft best practices and monitoring workflow performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into solutions, maintain documentation, and provide user training and support.

Candidate Profile

• Analytical problem solver passionate about automation and Microsoft technologies.
• Comfortable working independently in remote settings with excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on scalability, usability, and performance of applications.

Experience & Technical Skills

• 2 to 4 years of experience developing with Microsoft technologies.
• Proficient in Power BI including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard creation.
• Advanced skills in Power Automate, handling complex workflows and custom connectors.
• Experience with Azure services, Azure Functions, and system integrations via REST APIs and webhooks.
• Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint development, and business intelligence concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-level automation solutions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, and Microsoft Graph API.
• Understanding of Microsoft governance, compliance, and security standards.
• Experience automating workflows within operations, finance, HR, and sales sectors.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Construct and optimize Power BI dashboards and Power Automate workflows.
• Create and maintain Power Apps applications.
• Develop Azure-based integrations and APIs.
