Business Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Analyst to join our team on a full-time W2 contract based in Dallas, TX, with flexible hybrid work arrangements allowing 2-3 days onsite or fully remote work. This position will support operational teams focusing on data governance and enterprise data asset mapping to understand available data, its locations, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various business units to identify, document, and catalog data assets.
• Manage data across various enterprise platforms including ERP, HRIS, CRM, CLM, CPQ, cloud infrastructure, and core security systems.
• Engage with a wide range of stakeholders from individual contributors to executives to gather and validate data classification and ownership information.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive central inventory of data sources, ensuring secure classification and clear ownership.
• Partner with newly designated technical contacts to collect requirements and maintain consistent documentation and deliverables.
• Track project progress through updated spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports to provide leadership with insights into data discovery and overall project status.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Highly proactive with strong initiative and the ability to independently drive responses and actions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills suitable for engaging both technical and business teams professionally.
• Excellent organizational abilities, including meticulous note-taking, documentation, multitasking, and effective follow-up.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience managing inventories, trackers, and dashboards.
• Preferred exposure to data governance, data management, or project coordination.
