Position Overview

This role involves the daily handling, picking, and dispatching of frozen bovine semen. Accurate record maintenance and thorough documentation of all laboratory activities, including report generation, are essential. Additional responsibilities include monitoring the semen inventory and recording all incoming stock through the stock control system. Collaboration with the lab team ensures smooth workflow, while compliance with safety guidelines and maintaining cleanliness standards are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and dispatch frozen bovine semen on a daily basis.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare reports relating to laboratory operations.
• Support inventory management of semen stocks.
• Conduct diligent data entry for all incoming stock using the stock control system.
• Provide regular inventory updates to management as needed.
• Maintain a clean laboratory environment and support quality control processes.
• Work closely with the lab team to promote workflow efficiency.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure regulatory and industry compliance.

Candidate Requirements

• Capability to perform well under pressure within a fast-moving setting.
• Team player with effective communication skills to work alongside breeding advisors in the field.
• Able to think quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Previous experience in laboratory or dispatch environments is advantageous.
• Interest in agriculture, particularly cattle breeding, is preferred.

Qualifications and Training
