Job Overview

This role involves comprehensive communication across various levels within the healthcare setting, including interaction with both internal teams and external health professionals, ensuring the efficient delivery of radiographic services while adhering strictly to established trust protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in clear verbal and written communication with departmental colleagues encompassing clerical, nursing, ancillary, and clinical staff.
• Effectively exchange sensitive and complex information related to radiology requests with personnel across different wards and departments.
• Interact with patients, caregivers, and relatives under challenging circumstances such as language barriers, hearing impairments, pediatric cases, or patients affected by substances.
• Liaise professionally with external healthcare providers, including general practitioners and ambulance staff.
• Participate actively in routine departmental and team meetings, contributing to service improvement and policy development discussions.
• Operate strictly within the guidelines and protocols prescribed by the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
